Mysore Yoga will no longer open after the lockdown. Due to the ongoing measures and no government support, Tara has had to pull the plug as of April 1, 2021. Tara has left for Bonaire where she will resume her Yoga path after a period of processing of the ongoing Corona stress.

Ashtanga Foundations

Mon 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm with Rachel

A shortened version of the Ashtanga primary series. The teacher guides the lesson verbally and provides modifications so that even the beginner can safely practice this spicy series. The asanas are practiced on breath (ujjayi breath) and are strung together by vinyasas (half sun salutations). This creates a meditative flow, which provides heating and detoxification of your muscles and organs, a strong and healthy body and a calm mind. Extra attention is paid to these fundamental principles of the Ashtanga practice.

Yin

Yin yoga incorporates principles from traditional Chinese medicine. The postures are variations of the Indian, naturally yang, yoga postures. They get longer; held for two to five minutes without contracting any muscles. This allows you to work in your connective tissues and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation in your joints. With the warm yin, the room is pleasantly heated to approx. 25-27 degrees. Because you sit or lie in a position in silence for a longer period of time, yin yoga has a meditative character. Ideal as a supplement to your yang practice.
